The Event

On September 21st, we’ll once again be hosting Lewes’ very own Oktoberfest in the Corn Exchange. We’ll be transforming the hall with our own Bavarian theme and we'll be laying on great food, beer and music. The last 2 years have been a massive hit and this year is lining up to be even better.

What about beers? We’re lucky to have a wealth of local breweries who each produce their own German style beers - Abyss, Beak, Only With Love, Burning Sky and Harveys. See our list of beers below. There’ll also be Gluwein and Schnapps on offer if you’re looking for something other than beer.

Of course, we’ll have a good selection of German food to compliment the beers. Plenty of different sausages, including veggie and curry wurst – not to be missed. If you fancy something lighter, there’ll be various snacks available throughout the evening.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £15. We have limited numbers for the event and as such it's very unlikely that any will be left for door entry on the day. Get in early to avoid disappointment

Bands

Deutsch Blasmusik

We'll of course be having an Oompah band for the event. We welcome back Deutsch Blasmusik who were a massive hit in 2022. They are a traditional OomPah band with a twist, specialising in whimsical and charming combinations of traditional German and quirky pop hits. And get ready for a few party games and fun audience participation.

LGB Brass

For the first time, we welcome Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass band, who will be playing brass versions of classic pop songs

Jeremy

Jeremy is based in Sussex and wil be playing a great acoustic set of during the evening

DJ Gav

Once again, DJ Gav will round off the evening with some fabulous Euro cheese tunes that'll get everyone on the floor

Food

Keeping with the local theme, we've once again teamed up with Richards butchers who will be making one off German sausages for the Fest.

Plenty of excellent options will be available including vegan and gluten free. All served with lovely bread, Sauerkraut and relishes

In addition to sausages, we'll have plenty of snacks throughout the day including fabulous pretzels. Perfect to wash down with some of our lovely beer.

Beers

Once again we've kept it close to home when selecting our beers for the event. There's so much brewing talent within a 5 mile radius of Lewes that it would be rude not to! Keep it local!

Contact

The Corn Exchange lies within the Town Hall complex in central Lewes. Plan your journey early to make sure you arrive in time to enjoy the whole evening. Below is a map showing it's exact location, plus details on how to get to Lewes by train or bus.

There are regular rail services to and from Lewes, provided by Southern. Go to the National Rail website to find out more information on times, facilities etc.

Regular bus services into Lewes operate from all over Sussex. Visit the Brighton Buses website for details.
